Absolutely excellent presentation skills – student explained the problem, referred to error bars, and was very knowledgeable about the methods used in the experiments. The student obviously carried out the experiments himself and clearly understood the implications of his results. Just a great job, overall!

He fielded all of my questions well and was able to gauge the right level of response to them.

The only thing I would knock him down on is that he didn’t clearly reference his introductory figure on the poster – a clearer citation would have been better.

Compared to the level of research, his abstract was also not representative of the quality of his work – too vague.
