She very clearly explained her project. I liked that she was very familiar with the background material and could cite the sources who had looked at the plant extract she was helping to synthesize. I also liked that they did multiple trials for a “successful” reaction. (Good science!)
When asked about the mechanism of the acylation reaction, she was unsure, but tried to use the results of her experiment to reason back what it might do.
Poster text was a bit small, and the chemical structures on the NMRs were hard to read. Also I would have preferred her to cite references in a more typical example (some of this is probably because her advisors were overseas so they may not have had a chance to help with the poster.
