Programming Scorbase Pro

Undergraduate #98
Discipline: Technology and Engineering
Subcategory: Civil/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering

Ryan Littlejohn - Virginia State University
Co-Author(s): Raymond Johnson, Virginia State University

This research focuses on the following major problems: (1) how to autonomously control the Scorbase robotic arm ER-9, (2) understand how program on required software, (3) how to execute programs, and (4) how to control the robot physically and demonstrate that knowledge to other students/professors. To solve these problems, I read the given information on the Scorbase robotic arm ER-9, became familiar with the controls and control box of the robot, and researched different ways to control the robot and its limitations.

Funder Acknowledgement(s): Dr. Nasser Ghariban and Dr. Ali Ansari, Virginia State University?s Manufacturing and Engineering Department, Intelitek and Ronald Williams

Faculty Advisor: Nasser Ghariban, NGhariban@vsu.edu

Role: Performed Diagnostics and made Programming codes Scorbase pro robotic arm, while also in charge of finding design limitations, measurements, and set up modifications for robotic arm.
