Gabbi Haynes

Gabriele Haynes, Ph.D., M.Eval., is the owner and primary researcher for Haynes Evaluation and a Senior Associate at Kate Winter Evaluation, LLC. Dr. Haynes has worked with major NSF initiatives (e.g., ADVANCE, HBCU-UP, S STEM, IUSE) since 2015, as well as other federal (Title Vs, Title IIIs and HSI STEM via the Department of Education), USDA and Department of Defense Education Activities (DoDEA) funded projects. Her areas of evaluation expertise include broadening participation in STEM, college student access and retention, professional and leadership development for faculty, and institutional cultural change. Dr. Haynes is a member of the American Evaluation Association (AEA) and adheres to AEA professional and ethical principles. Dr. Haynes co-authored a chapter in Culturally Responsive Strategies for Reforming STEM Higher Education by Mack, Winter and Soto in 2019 and was a research fellow, publishing findings for Cultivating and Supporting Puerto Rican Colleges and Universities: An Association for the Study of Higher Education Institute with Puerto Rican Higher Education Leaders Presented by Ascendium in 2021. Dr. Haynes serves as a peer reviewer for Oregon State University’s ADVANCE Journal and she currently serves as CoPI for an NSF funded Hispanic Serving Institutions Conference grant. Dr. Haynes received her PhD in Creative Leadership for Innovation and Change from the University of the Virgin Islands and a Master’s Degree in Program Evaluation from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
