Professional STEM Societies Working Group
Overview
The Professional STEM Societies Working Group (WG) leverages the unique position of these organizations to cultivate STEM education and careers among all undergraduate and graduate students. Building on what we have learned since 2020, we strive to deepen the engagement between society leaders, and undergraduate and graduate students in STEM. We are particularly interested in engaging students directly within the WG itself, empowering them as change leaders.
Goals & Objectives
- Share resources, best practices, and strategies across and within STEM disciplines to better support emerging researchers from all backgrounds.
- Identify gaps and levers for change and opportunities for organizational collaboration in the support and preparation of a competitive STEM workforce.
- Support organizations’ efforts to engage students, trainees, and early career professionals.
