Corrie Y. Kuniyoshi, PhD
Sr. Portfolio Manager, Student Experiences Office, Education and Career Development, (ACS) The American Chemical Society
Corrie Y. Kuniyoshi earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UCLA and has 20 years of experience in career and professional development, evaluation, scholarships, and educational programming. She has led the creation of career development products (including ACS’s ChemIDP.org, and I3IDP.org) which support graduate students, mentors, as well as early to late-career professionals in STEM. Corrie is the PI for the NSF Grant (1806607) Impact Indicators and Instruments for Individual Development Plans, which studies IDP efficacy, career development and professional identity. These experiences led to the creation of programming which fosters wholistic development and mentorship for students and professionals. She is a strong proponent of rigorous evaluation of impact. Currently, Dr. Kuniyoshi serves as Senior Portfolio Manager in the ACS Student Experiences Office, where she leads a great team which runs operations for programs which provide funding and professional development for high school through graduate students including ACS Scholarships, Leader Scholars, Project SEED, and ACS LEADS. She is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach.

Dr. Dawn Holt serves as the Portfolio Manager of the ACS Bridge Program, where she combines her deep scientific expertise with a strong commitment to student empowerment. With advanced degrees in Medical Pathology and Clinical Psychology, she brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to her work. Dr. Holt leads strategic initiatives that expand access to educational funding, professional development, and mentorship in the chemical sciences. Her efforts are centered on removing barriers for graduate students and fostering inclusive environments that support academic and career success. Through personalized mentorship and thoughtfully designed support programs, she equips students with the tools they need to thrive. Dr. Holt’s leadership continues to shape the future of chemistry by championing equity, opportunity, and excellence.
